Inspired by the star magnolia outside my back door, I wanted to capture how it actually appears in full bloom: not one perfect flower but a whole scattering of them, some fully open, some just starting, caught against a deep, atmospheric ground.
Magnolias have long stood for nobility and perseverance, and star magnolias specifically are tied to purity and resilience, they're one of the first to flower each year, often before anything else dares to. This piece is my attempt to hold onto that abundance and quiet chaos before the bloom moves on.
