Two takes on the same subject, my tailor's dummy, side by side: one sharp and lit against the dark, one softer and more ghostlike, faded almost to a memory. The dummy sits in the corner of my studio strung with fairy lights, quietly glowing there through every piece I make. This etching is my way of noticing it properly, the same figure twice, once solid and once dissolving, the way a familiar object shifts depending on the light and how closely you're looking.
Delivered unframed, sleeved in cellophane, and posted flat in a card-backed envelope.
