Flowers straight from the garden, laid directly onto light-sensitive paper and exposed in sunlight, leave their ghostly imprint in that unmistakable Prussian blue. No camera, no drawing, just the plant itself and the sun doing the work. The soft, uneven edges of the exposure are part of the process rather than a flaw, each cyanotype comes out slightly different depending on the light, the time of day, and how the flowers were laid.
A quiet, almost scientific kind of nature study, closer to a botanical specimen than a painting, and genuinely one of a kind, there's no plate or negative to reprint this from.
